Gold Medal Waters? It sure is an interesting name.

But where did it come from and what does it mean?

Well, its roots are quite simple. "Gold Medal" is the designation that the Colorado Wildlife Commission bestows on the highest quality trout habitats in the State. Colorado waters can only earn the moniker if they are deemed to provide outstanding opportunities for trout to live and thrive.

In late 2003, when I was pondering the idea of this company, I was searching for a creative name that provided a nice metaphor for the services offered - the highest quality financial strategies that helped our clients to thrive.

Four months later, on an early season flyfishing trip, the company name drifted into view and this founder was hooked.
